Screening service to detect sight threatening eye disease
This test is now available in this GP Practice. This test is advised for any patient with Diabetes and for any patient over forty years old to detect silent eye disease which could cause serious loss of vision and blindness if untreated. Take the first step today and have both your eyes screened. It only takes a few minutes and it may save your sight.
This test will be carried out in this GP Practice and a diagnosis will be reported back to your GP and to you personally within a few days.
Certain groups of the population are at much higher risk than others – those with a family history of Diabetes, Age-related Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma, and patients over 40 years of age.
If your screening test is positive, you will be advised to undergo a full eye examination.
